Sailing runs in my family. Mother sails and in fact brought my father into the world of sailing. I often tell people that I’ve been sailing since I was able to stand. In more recent years, I’ve found myself taking somewhat of a hiatus from sailing. Yes, I still embark on family trips when they pop up, but in terms of doing my own sailing, I’ve been toning things down. Instead, I’ve been learning to appreciate the art of kitesurfing.
Kitesurfing is an exhilarating sport that marries what I love so much about skiing (speed, muscular control, pushing one’s limits) with what I love so much about sailing (mastering equipment and the water).
